Newswise — WASHINGTON (November 14, 2024)— In June of this year, Louisiana became the first state to require the Ten Commandments be displayed in every public school classroom. However, earlier this week, federal judge John W. deGravelles found that the law was unconstitutional and forbade the state from enforcing it. Attorney General Liz Murrill of Louisiana is ready to appeal the ruling.

Government, once subject to a distinctive limitation on promoting or sponsoring religion, now must afford religion distinctive privileges.”
